Happy April (Fools!)

Hi, Gang!

It’s April, and I have some very, very, VERY exciting news to tell all of you. Are you ready? Are you sitting down? Is your refrigerator working? You should go check to make sure your refrigerator is working. You don’t want your food to spoil. When you go check your refrigerator, could you bring me back a root beer and maybe a sandwich? Could you put mustard on the sandwich? I like mustard.

Where was I?

Oh, right… I have very, VERY exciting news to tell you!

I’m ending the Bad Kitty series.

That’s right, I’m won’t be making any more Bad Kitty books, but don’t worry because I’m starting an even BETTER series! Soon you will all be reading all about the wonderful adventures of …

You’ll love it.

The first book in the series will be called “BAD OCTOPUS GETS A BATH”. This book will only be about three pages because as it turns out, octopuses live in water, so they’re already pretty wet.

The second book, however, will be 4,892 pages long and called “BAD OCTOPUS LAYS SOME EGGS” because an octopus can lay as many as 100,000 eggs, so there’s going to be a lot of story to tell here.

The third book will be “BAD OCTOPUS LAYS SOME EGGS: PART TWO”, because like I said… lots of eggs, lots of story.

Book four: “BAD OCTOPUS VS. UNCLE MURRAY” Just wait until you see Octopus squirt ink all over Uncle Murray when she’s frightened. You’ll laugh yourself silly!

Book five: “BAD OCTOPUS MEETS THE BABY” Octopus doesn’t like Baby, but that’s okay because she’s in an aquarium and Baby isn’t. They’ll never be anywhere near each other! Hilarious!

Book six: “BAD OCTOPUS FOR PRESIDENT” Actually, I’ve decided not to write this one, because even I can’t imagine an octopus running for president.

You’re going to love this new series, kids. Just think about it. Bad Kitty had only four legs. Bad Octopus has eight arms! You’ll love this series twice as much!

Speaking of which, here is your story assignment…

Write a story about Octopus having to go to school. Here are some of the questions you can ask yourself while you write this story…

Who are some of the other students in Octopus’ school? Are they friends with Octopus?
What do they teach at Octopus’ school? Who are her teachers?
Does Octopus like school? Why, or why not?
I’ll see you here next time at the BAD OCTOPUS BOOK CLUB,
